Gerovital H3 rejuvenates the aging body, restoring energy, mood, appearance, and sexual vigor.

testimonialrefuted made by Ana Aslan intervention Gerovital H3 (procaine anti-aging therapy)

This is the rejuvenation promise that drew foreign patients to Bucharest: that a course of Gerovital would restore the energy, mood, appearance, and sexual vigor of youth. The claim is classified at a testimonial endpoint, because its support was patient self-report and clinic testimony rather than controlled outcome measurement. It is classified as refuted in the sense that the broad rejuvenation claim was not borne out: the 1977 Ostfeld, Smith, and Stotsky review found no convincing evidence of benefit beyond a possible antidepressant effect, and explicitly proposed that a mild antidepressant action, if present, could account for patients reporting that they felt better across many body systems. The honest residual is narrow: a possible mood effect, not the rejuvenation that was sold.
