METHUSELAH ARCHIVE CLAIMS
Claim · 1920 · Spectro-Chrome

Every chemical element is attuned to specific light frequencies; disease is a disruption of the body's Radio-Active and Radio-Emanative Equilibrium, correctable by shining the corresponding Attuned Color on the patient.

mechanism onlyrefuted made by Dinshah P. Ghadiali intervention Spectro-Chrome

Ghadiali’s proprietary mechanism held that chemical elements were each attuned to specific light frequencies, and that a resulting imbalance in the body could be corrected by exposure to the matching colored light. No source in this bundle documents scientific support for this mechanism. A 2017 Skeptical Inquirer analysis finds no medical research literature defining the discipline’s claimed therapeutic colors and concludes chromotherapy generally is a pseudomedicine; a 2023 peer-reviewed letter states that visible light cannot penetrate deeply enough to act on internal organs in the way claimed.
