Claim · 1929 · Baker's Cancer Cure (tea and injections)
Norman Baker advertised, by radio and in print, that he had discovered a positive, permanent cure for cancer.
Baker’s own advertising, carried on his KTNT radio station and in his magazine The Naked Truth, claimed a positive and permanent cure for cancer with no medical qualification behind it. A federal jury found the claim was made and the Eighth Circuit affirmed in 1940 that it was false, as part of a wider mail-fraud conviction; an Iowa court had separately found the underlying formula worthless in 1932.
