Trial of Essiac to ascertain its effect in women with breast cancer (TEA-BC)

SUMMARY
Retrospective cohort study of 510 women from the Ontario Cancer Tumour Registry diagnosed with primary breast cancer in 2003, comparing new Essiac users to non-users on health-related quality of life (HR-QOL) and mood. Found Essiac did not significantly improve HR-QOL or mood states, and Essiac users scored worse on physical well-being and relationship-with-doctor subscales than non-users.
