The tinted oval frontispiece plate from Kellogg's 1908 institutional volume, depicting a bird's-eye view of the Battle Creek Sanitarium complex and grounds. Held by the Wellcome Collection (work rzmdzhv2, digitized as b21216915) under a Public Domain Mark. Used as the artifact image for the case. The plate is the Sanitarium's own idealized promotional rendering of the institution, distinct in medium and intent from the documentary Bain photograph used as the object image.
