Food Standards Agency issues urgent advice on consumption of 'fat burner' capsules containing DNP

SUMMARY
UK regulator warning, issued specifically to the bodybuilding community, that DNP-containing 'fat burner' capsules are dangerous to human health, that as few as three or four capsules in one dose could cause death, and that smaller doses over longer periods are known to cause cataracts; advises consumers to avoid any product containing DNP or 2,4-Dinitrophenol at any level. This is the earlier of the two Food Standards Agency warnings (2003 and 2012) that the sentencing judge found Bernard Rebelo ignored (R v Bernard Rebelo sentencing remarks, para. 9).
