Project Gutenberg's plain-text transcription of Eddy's Christian Science textbook, fetched directly (HTTP 200, 1,376,501 bytes). The ebook's own header states only an ebook release date (2002) and most-recent-update date (2021); it does NOT state which historical print edition it transcribes. Two passages are quoted from this text, each given as two adjoining marker-window fragments (see note below): 1:1-1:3 ('THE prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are' continuing 'possible to God,- a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love.') and 14:12-18 ('Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual, - neither in nor of matter, - and the body will then utter no' continuing 'If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well.'), both addressing generic sickness, not a named disease. The plain-text transcription embeds its own page:line citation markers (e.g. "1:3", "14:15") inline roughly every three lines; each fragment above is confined to a single marker-to-marker window so its own wording is contiguous exactly as transcribed, rather than splicing across a marker the way an unbroken multi-line quote of this file otherwise would. A third passage at the SH 390:27-391:6 locator (the 'Agree to disagree' / 'incipient stages' / 'Thou art whole!' passage on cancer, consumption, and smallpox) is word-for-word identical, modulo hyphenation, to the same passage as it currently appears on the official christianscience.com Chapter XII page (see christianscience-com-science-and-health-chapter-xii).
