Confirms: born 7 March 1845 in Pickering, Canada West; died 20 October 1913 in Los Angeles, official cause typhoid fever; pre-chiropractic occupations including teaching and beekeeping; founded the Palmer School of Chiropractic in 1897; prosecuted in 1906 in Iowa for practicing medicine without a license and briefly jailed; his son B.J.
