Abstract, quoted in relevant part: 'This study evaluates the in vitro antimicrobial efficacy and cytotoxicity of acidified sodium chlorite (ASC), a source of chlorine dioxide. Despite its controversial promotion in alternative medicine as a cure-all solution, known as "Miracle Mineral Solution" (MMS), the data on its factual medicinal activity is very limited.' Reports the lowest antimicrobial concentration tested (0.002992%, 29.92 ppm) 'did not exhibit stronger antimicrobial activity than polyhexamethylene biguanide' (a standard antiseptic), and that biofilms of Streptococcus mutans and Escherichia coli were most susceptible. The full-text Results section (PMC12104323) reports the in vitro cytotoxicity assay was run on L929 cells, a standard mouse (murine) fibroblast line, not human cells (Methods: 'fibroblasts L929 (American Type Culture Collection, Rockville, MD, USA)'); Table 4 gives measured cytotoxicity of 26.13% (±11.98) at the lowest tested concentration (0.002992%/29.92 ppm, the same concentration reported as antimicrobially active) rising to 96-98% at higher tested concentrations, i.e. a concentration-dependent cytotoxic effect on this mouse cell line. The paper does not state or compare these tested concentrations against the concentration used in any marketed MMS protocol.

It is cited only for what it is: an in vitro biofilm/cytotoxicity comparison of acidified sodium chlorite (the chemical MMS becomes) against a standard antiseptic, not a clinical trial in patients and not a test of any of the intervention’s marketed disease-cure claims. It supports a narrow, hedged claim about the laboratory-measured antimicrobial and cytotoxic profile of the underlying chemistry, not a general “no evidence” verdict on MMS, which is instead supported by the FDA’s own statements that it is not aware of research showing the products are safe or effective for treating any illness (see fda-consumer-update-mms-danger-2019).
