SUMMARY
Wikimedia Commons file record for a photograph identified as red or sheep sorrel (Rumex acetosella), photographed by Robert Flogaus-Faust in Hesse, Germany, on 7 May 2006. The record says 'Own work,' making the Commons file page the creator's original publication record rather than a derivative archive copy. The creator released the work under CC BY 4.0, and Commons lists it as a quality image. Used as an object-role photograph of one of the four ingredients named in the NCI and Memorial Sloan Kettering Essiac summaries. Native resolution 2041x2871 pixels; the local copy was resized to a 1600-pixel longest side without cropping. Accepted residual: Commons-only media asset. A dated search on 19 August 2026 found no equivalent institutional field photograph of Rumex acetosella in Wellcome Collection, Library of Congress, or BnF/Gallica; the institutional result found through Commons was Auckland Museum herbarium specimen AK367005, a photograph of a pressed specimen rather than a living plant.
NOTES

The creator’s original Commons record identifies the plant, photographer, date, and license. The image documents the ingredient only; it does not imply that the pictured specimen was used by Caisse or appears in a commercial Essiac product. The bounded institutional-archive search and the non-equivalent Auckland Museum specimen are recorded above so the Commons-only provenance is explicit.
