Unproven methods of cancer management. Krebiozen and carcalon
clinical paper · 1973
SUMMARY
The American Cancer Society's formal statement on Krebiozen and its renamed variant Carcalon, published in the same year the Illinois legislature banned the drug's sale. The ACS documents the full history of investigations from the 1951 AMA evaluation through the FDA analysis and the 1966 acquittal, and maintains that no credible evidence of anticancer activity was ever demonstrated. The article records the final regulatory endpoint of the affair within Illinois.
