SUMMARY
American Cancer Society follow-up committee review of seven 'questionable' nutritional cancer regimens including the Gerson diet, Hoxsey therapy, the macrobiotic diet, and the Kelley and Manner metabolic therapies. PMID and abstract confirmed directly via NCBI eutils. Concludes there is no scientific evidence that any nutritionally related regimen is appropriate as a primary cancer treatment. Used as a second, independent ACS-committee evidentiary-failure source alongside the 1973 statement.
NOTES
A second American Cancer Society committee review (1993) grouping Gerson therapy among nutritionally based cancer regimens found to lack supporting evidence.
