Tesla BioHealing, Inc. is a Delaware company headquartered at 111 McCoy Street, Milford, DE, founded by James Zhou Liu, identified in the FDA's August 2023 warning letter as the firm's CEO and in AP's January 2024 report as 'the physician who founded Tesla,' who says he 'earned a medical degree in China and a Ph.D. in human nutrition at Penn State University.' Liu was both the theory's promoter and, per the 2023 FDA letter, the founder and CEO of the company selling the devices: he is quoted describing his buyers as 'customers,' not patients ('We are not a clinic, not a doctor's office'). Before founding Tesla BioHealing in 2019, Liu ran another company, DrNaturalHealing, Inc., at the same Milford address; in September 2014 the FTC sent DrNaturalHealing a closing letter over unsubstantiated claims for a nasal-irrigation/homeopathic-spray product called the AsthmaCare Kit, closing without enforcement after Liu agreed to stop using that product name and its asthma-related claims, and after WTAE reported the FTC noting that sales had been 'very limited.' Liu described the 2014 episode to WTAE, in a written statement, as a learning experience that still guides him. The company sells devices directly to consumers online (from $599) and operates a chain of branded 'MedBed' wellness-hotel centers charging for scans and overnight stays, with that revenue flowing to the company Liu founded.

Tesla BioHealing, Inc. was founded in 2019 in Milford, Delaware by James Zhou Liu, who AP reports earned a medical degree in China and a Ph.D. in human nutrition from Penn State University. The company sells canister devices it calls “Biophoton Generators,” “BioHealers,” and “MedBed Generators,” which it markets as emitting concentrated “Life Force Energy” that activates the body’s own cellular self-repair. Before Tesla BioHealing, Liu operated DrNaturalHealing, Inc. at the identical Milford address; that company received a September 2014 FTC closing letter over unsubstantiated claims for an asthma product, the AsthmaCare Kit, which Liu agreed to stop naming and marketing that way. Roughly nine years later, in August 2023, the FDA issued Tesla BioHealing a warning letter over the same underlying pattern at greater scale: unapproved medical-device claims this time covering terminal cancers, stroke paralysis, Lyme disease, Alzheimer’s/dementia, and epilepsy, plus multiple manufacturing quality-system violations. The company has continued operating since, running MedBed wellness-hotel centers where the same canisters are built into hotel rooms and swimming pools.
